I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Lauren Roberts of Green Light Go Publicity, a music PR firm here in Detroit, to discuss the past, present and future of Fancy Lad Music. Included in their blog is a section called The Other Side, which examines (what else?) people on the "other side" of the music industry aside from musicians and their albums. It was refreshing to try and convey in an interview setting exactly what we do, and I am geeked that someone cared enough to want to know more and share that with her readers. Check out the interview here!

FutureMidwest, the region's largest two-day technology and knowledge conference recently contacted FLM about doing some music for their event. It was a great project to work on because the creative team allowed us to stretch our legs and cover some really different styles.

I must add that the last line of the outline we received was "and the crowd goes f***ing wild", and boy did they.

And without further adieu, the video:

Perhaps not the way we envisioned being on MTV when we were growing up, but cool nonetheless: 3 songs from Fancy Lad band of composers Sea of Japan were featured on MTV's teen pregnancy show 16 and Pregnant. Keep an eye out for reruns of Nikkole's episode from season 2 to hear "Maxine," "All You Ever Need," and "Escape" on the small screen, or view the episode here!
